“A few weeks ago, our six month old baby girl started projectile vomiting and then became unusually sleepy. We were not sure what to do, and we did not want to take her to the emergency room if we could avoid it because of the invasive methods used there. Instead, as our first course of action, we called our friend and former physician Opeyemi. She asked us about Bella’s symptoms and what she had eaten that day. From the information she gathered, she was able to let us know that Bella was not seriously ill and was most likely having an allergic reaction to an egg yolk that we had given her to try earlier in the day.
